The Birdcage – Madame Hedges & Crystal Palais

A glam race day occasion in the expanses of Cloudland’s Madame Hedges and Crystal Palais. From 12.30pm – 3.30pm, enjoy 3 hours of:

  • Beverages: refreshing range of carafe cocktails and spritz, French sparkling, premium wines, premium tap beers, cider, soft drink and juices
  • Food: charcuterie, Italian cheeses and a selection of hot, cold and dessert substantial canapés

Upgrade your group to an exclusive Crystal Palais Booth featuring G.H. Mumm Champagne, to kick-start your Melbourne Cup soiree in luxe style. This package will guarantee your group your very own Crystal Palais booth on the Mezzanine level, all the food and drink options from the Birdcage package plus free-flowing G.H. Mumm Champagne. *Crystal Palais Race Day Booths are only available to guests who have purchased Birdcage tickets through Eventbrite.

  • Two booth sizes to suit 10 people and 15 people. Booths of up to 10 – $1000, booths of up to 15 – $1500.
  • Race day booths are strictly limited and can be purchased once your group’s Birdcage tickets have been purchased through Eventbrite

A sit-down race day gala luncheon on a grand scale in the newly renovated Rose Room. From 12pm – 3.30pm, enjoy 3.5 hours of:

  • Beverages: G.H. Mumm Champagne, refreshing range of carafe cocktails and spritz, premium wines, premium tap beers, cider, soft drink and juices
  • Food: three course gala luncheon plus welcome substantial canapés set on the tables
  • Entertainment throughout the afternoon
  • Fashions on the field, amazing prizes for best dressed Duke and Duchess, best race day hat, race day sweeps and more.

$209 per person + booking fee. $10 from every ticket will go towards our charity partner for the day.

Are you COVID-19 compliant? Yes, we take the health and safety of our guests and staff extremely seriously. We will be complying with our Industry COVID-Safe Plan including (but not limited to) socially distancing, providing sanitising facilities and contactless payment throughout. We will also be capping the numbers for each area according to the square metre restrictions of the venue.

Can you cater to my food allergies and dietary requirements? We always do our best to cater to your food allergies. For guests of the sit-down G.H. Mumm Gala Luncheon please include your dietary requirements in the field provided at checkout. For all other areas, please let our staff know on the day if you have any dietary requirements. We may not, however, be able to cater towards all food preferences e.g. keto, low-carb, low sugar.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? This event will be restricted to over 18s only. There will also be a range of non-alcoholic drinks available in all packages throughout the event.

What’s the refund policy? We understand that COVID has given us some unpredictable times. If the venue is forced to close due to COVID restrictions imposed by the Government and the event is cancelled as a result, tickets will be refunded. We do not offer refunds for any other reason.
